I think I found this on Pinterest and I made changes to it by adding the spices and omitting the almonds. Serve warm with ice cream….. delicious!
1/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
a pinch of salt
1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste (optional)
1.5 tbsp of butter
.42 c milk
1 kg golden apples (4 large apples, 6 medium)
juice of 1 lemon
Whisk the eggs with sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Then add flour and baking powder, mix until combined.
Add milk and butter.
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into very thin slices, sprinkle with lemon juice.
Add the apples to the dough and mix them well and gently so as not to break them.
Transfer apple mixture into baking spring form and sprinkle with almond flakes
Bake at 190°C/375°C for about 40minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
